No Bayern Munich approach for Bale, says agent

Bayern Munich have not made a move for Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale, according to the player’s agent.

Bale has dropped completely out of favour at Madrid since Zinedine Zidane returned to the club in March.

Madrid have already spent more than £200m on new players this summer and need to offload some big name players to balance their books.

The Spanish sides are actively looking to offload Bale this summer but are yet to find any willing takers.

Potential suitors are put off by the fact Madrid are demanding a sizeable fee for Bale and the 29-year-old is one of the best-paid players in the world.

Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting Bayern Munich were keen on signing Bale on loan but his agent, Jonathan Barnett, has told ESPN those rumours are wide of the mark.

Bale has made just 155 league appearances out of a possible 228 since joining Madrid from Tottenham in the summer of 2013.

The Welsh winger has played a direct hand in 116 goals in that time, one every 98.3 minutes of playing time.
