AC Milan have confirmed the signing of young Italian wing-back Andrea Conti from Serie A counterparts Atalanta.
The 23-year-old becomes the club’s seventh summer signing and the second from Atalanta after the arrival of Franck Kessie earlier in the summer.
“AC Milan make their seventh new signing in this summer transfer window,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The new Red and Black player is the Under-21 Italy international Andrea Conti. Conti is one of the most interesting talents of the past Serie A season. He is a full back with great pace and stamina, capable of playing a more offensive football and of finding the empty space.
“A young talent who after the excellent 2016-17 spell with Atalanta - showing consistent performances throughout the whole campaign with 33 appearances and 2668 minutes played - is looking to take the leap in his career joining a top club in AC Milan.
“The Rossoneri have seen in Andrea the player with technical and tactical abilities, which added to a fine nose for goal, can come out handy to coach Montella and his "new" 2017/18 AC Milan.”
