Tottenham are due to find out the extent of Harry Kane’s ankle injury on Monday, reports The Guardian.
Kane, 23, scored the only goal of Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Sunderland on Sunday but was stretchered off late into the match before leaving the ground on crutches with a protective boot.
The England international was expected to be rested for their League Cup encounter with Gillingham in midweek but the club fear Kane could be sidelined for weeks, which would rule him out of upcoming Champions League and league fixtures against CSKA Moscow and Manchester City.
Kane’s strike against Sunderland was only his second goal in his last 13 competitive matches for club and country.
