Tottenham star suffers nasty break on international duty
Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min has suffered a broken arm while on international duty with South Korea, reports The Korea Herald.
The 24-year-old sustained the problem following an aerial clash with defender Mohammed Musa in the 30th minute as South Korea fell to a 3-2 defeat to Qatar.
Son will now undergo further tests in South Korea to determine the full extent of the issue, with his injury coming as a blow to their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup.
He came into the match off the back of a fine domestic campaign for Tottenham, where his 14 goals and further six assists helped the north London side to a second placed finish, their highest in a Premier League season.
However, Spurs are hoping that Son will have made a full recovery in time for pre-season before the 2017/18 campaign gets underway.
Tottenham kick off their season with a trip to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle before returning to the capital for their first league game at Wembley, where they welcome defending champions Chelsea.
