Wayne Rooney has been left out of Manchester United’s 20-man squad for their Europa League match away to Feyenoord.
Jose Mourinho has named his travelling squad for their first European match of the season and Rooney is the biggest name missing, with the likes of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both travelling.
Rooney, 30, has been subbed off in three of United’s four league matches this season but will play no part in Rotterdam in Thursday, presumably to be rested for their match against Watford on Sunday.
The United captain has scored 37 goals in 91 European matches for United.
