Manuel Neuer has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich until June 2023, the club has announced.
The Germany international had been linked with a move way from the Bundesliga champions, particularly on the back of the impending arrival of Alexander Nubel from Schalke.
However, the 34-year-old is now set to see out the twilight years of his career with Bayern having signed a three-year deal with the Bundesliga champions.
Neuer is one of a handful of players to have played every minute in the Bundesliga this season for a Bayern side that has conceded fewer goals (26) than any other side in Germany's top tier.
