Sunderland have secured the services of Younes Kaboul from Tottenham for a reported £4m.
The Frenchman was instilled as Spurs captain following Mauricio Pochettino's appointment as manager at White Hart Lane last summer, but failed to make a league appearance since the 2-1 defeat at home to Stoke back in November.
Spurs had been expected to cash in on the 29-year-old this summer and, on Thursday night, confirmed his move to the Black Cats.

"I can’t wait [to play at the Stadium of Light] and every time we played here we were preparing from Monday because we knew what we were going to get.

Kaboul put pen to paper on a four-year deal with his new club.
