West Brom after Southampton forward

West Bromwich Albion are keen to sign Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Tony Pulis is keen to bolster his squad with multiple new faces before the transfer window closes in just over a week’s time and has earmarked Rodriguez as one of several targets.

Rodriguez, 27, has struggled with a series of long-term injuries in the last two years and has dropped down the pecking order at Saints as a result.

The former England international has only played in six minutes of Premier League action this season and West Brom are hopeful of taking the forward on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Since August 2014 Rodriguez has only started three league games and hasn’t scored in the Premier League since the 2013/14 season when he was on the cusp of the England squad before the start of his long-term injuries occurred.
