England international on Bayern and Madrid’s radar

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have renewed their interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to London Evening Standard.

Kane is currently spearheading Tottenham’s title challenge and his goal against Liverpool earlier this month saw him become the first Tottenham player since Martin Chivers between 1971-73 to score 20 or more top-flight league goals in consecutive seasons.

The England international was previously linked with a high-profile move abroad during his breakout campaign last season and there is now renewed interest after proving he is not a one-season wonder.

While Kane has no intentions of leaving White Hart Lane, Bayern and Madrid have made it be known that they want to be kept informed about Kane’s situation at Spurs.

Kane, 22, only signed a five-and-a-half-year deal 14 months ago and the striker’s performances this season are likely to see him rewarded with a new long-term deal at the end of the season, regardless of whether Spurs win the league.

The Tottenham No.10 will have the chance to become the leading Premier League goalscorer outright when his side face Stoke on Monday evening (22 league goals).
