Manchester City agree personal terms with Koulibaly

Manchester City have agreed personal terms with Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, claims France Football.

Koulibaly is free to leave Napoli this summer but the Serie A outfit are yet to receive any offers for their star defender.

City are still on the market for another centre-back despite signing Nathan Ake from Bournemouth in a £40m deal earlier in the summer.

Pep Guardiola's side have been heavily linked with a move for Koulibaly for a number of months but are reluctant to start discussions with Napoli due to their poor relationship.

City still hold a grudge over Napoli when they were in talks for Jorginho only for the midfielder to end up signing for Chelsea.

However, with personal terms already sorted the only obstacle left for City in order to land Koulibaly is to agree a fee with Napoli.

Koulibaly, who is regarded as one of the best defenders in Europe, was limited to just 24 starts in Serie A last season, garnering a WhoScored rating less than 7.00 for the first time in a single season for Napoli.
