Liverpool must win this match to finish fifth and secure Europa spot. That's the worst word in football history . Nobody says that. You win based on what you have . You want? Everybody wants it. Spurs want it too. Hull city wanted to win the league too. Every team wanted to stay in the league . Qpr. Leicester. But its not what you want . It's about what you have done all over the course of the season. Liverpool last 6 games . This games . Last 6 games shows how they've coped with pressure from fellow teams and how they're respond in the coming match. They've scored an average of 0.83 and conceded 1.17 in the last 6. Stoke City have scored an average of 1.67 in the last 6 and conceded 0.67 . Liverpool might not even score . But they will concede many goals. Say 3. A team that plays possession football against a team that places with width with cross and good in the air with a team with 3CB who can't cope with the width game . Am sorry to say this is a high scoring game .

I have never seen a team collapse as drastically as Liverpool have...and that's not just today, we have been awful since we lost to United.Massive shake-up needed.If we continue this form into next season, and if we spend ridiculous money on mediocre players again, we could be just like Newcasle were this season and fighting relegation this time next year.
@mikers135 Relegation? We aren't that bad. I agree that since the United game we've been rubbish, it's like the players just lost belief since that game and now they couldn't care at all.
@Josh_22 Maybe I was a bit harsh, and I hope I'm wrong, but the reason Newcasle were in a relegation battle this season is because the players lacked desire and didn't care.We won't have Gerrard next season...and I know he is not the player he used to be but he was a presence on the pitch and is probably the only player who genuinely cares about the club.Sterling will more than likely gone as well.I don't know man, it's hard to be optimistic, especially after witnessing that farce today.

@dSquib biggest league defeat since 1954 for Liverpool. Hardly ideal. His tactics and team selection are abysmal in general, not just for this game.
@TacticalMastermind The second half was ok, but Rodgers should have made his substitutions when we were 2-0 down. Why wait until the game is over, make the subs whilst we still have a chance. Despite that the players deserve most of the blame for today, they simply didn't care about the result and that's unacceptable given how much they're paid.

Liverpool would have gotten a draw if it was any other day beside last game of the league. But they're succumb to 2-0 loss to Stoke who need no reason to play this game just to entertain their fans at a full stadium. Brittania Stadium is no stadium of hopes for Liverpool but for torment.
