Team News

Juventus
PSV Eindhoven
  • Arkadiusz Milik remains absent for Juventus, while Francisco Conceição is a doubt for the Old Lady.
  • After ringing the changes for the 0-0 draw at Empoli, Thiago Motta may bring the likes of Samuel Mbangula, Timothy Weah and Nicolo Fagioli back into the side.
  • Hirving Lozano will be assessed ahead of Tuesday's trip to Turin.
  • Noa Lang, Sergino Dest, Armando Obispo and Rick Karsdorp all miss the meeting with Juventus.
  • Walter Benitez will play not part here due to the birth of his child.

Prediction

  • Juventus have made an unbeaten start to the season, though they have drawn their two matches either side of the international break.
  • PSV meanwhile have won all five league matches to kick off the season and will provide a stern test for Juventus here.
  • With home advantage, however, the Old Lady may get their Champions League campaign off to a winning start.

  • Dusan Vlahovic TSA +145 / Koop To Score/Assist Anytime +180

  • PSV will be without Benitez (goalkeeper). His wife is in labour. Drommel will replace him. Still not sure about how PSV will line-up. The fullbacks are a major question mark and Bosz could opt for Schouten as Centre Back so Flamingo can play from the right. This will however play to the advantage of the home team. On the other hand PSV have a lot of options going forward and several players can score a goal: Tillman, Til, Saibari, Bakayoko, Lang, de Jong and even Veerman has a nice shot from distance. I'm leaning towards both teams to score but Juve has the advantage en PSV got some serious defensive question marks with the likes of Dams, Ledezma, Flamingo and Drommel

  • PSV look absolutely unstoppable in Eredivise at the moment whereas Juventus are struggling to get things going in Serie A with 2 goalless draws in their past 2 games coming into this one, I'm backing double chance PSV win or draw here at generous odds.

  • @nxc_03 What amount are you backing them for? The odds on PSV are quite high I reckon. It is because of their defensive line I think and their track record in UECL away games

  • @nxc_03 Leagues are miles different in terms of quality though too

  • @KingKeno For sure! The gap between Eredivisie and Champions League is too big. Only when PSV faces Ajax and Feyenoord the level comes close. Therefore PSV will be extra eager to prove themselves on this stage. Only because of their defensive weaknesses at the moment I'm having some doubts about them. The midfield and the attack on the other hand are well in shape and have the experience of playing together in UECL
