Team News

Trabzonspor
Kasimpasa
  • Umut Gunes is expected to deputise for the injured Okay Yokuslu.
  • Stefan Savic has suffered yet another muscle injury and according to local papers, Hüseyin Turkmen is also not going to be available. That means Batista Mendy will once again start at center back.
  • Arif Bosluk was picked ahead of Eren Elmali last time out but he suffered an injury. So the latter is likely to return to the starting XI.
  • Serkan Asan, who wasn't expected to start here, is also injured.
  • Stefano Denswil, Enis Bardhi, and Mislav Orsic had been banished to the reserves. Local papers claim Denwsil might be reinstated as a response to the center-back crisis the team has been going through but Senol Gunes has been quiet on the subject.
  • Kenneth Omeruo, who wasn't expected to start here, is manager Hakan Keles's only injury concern.

Prediction

  • Trabzonspor were beaten 2-1 by Alanyaspor last time out. Gunes has used some younger players, sent whom he saw as troublemakers to the reserves, and tweaked around with his tactics but to no avail. The 5-0 win against Adana did not mean anything as Adana Demirspor already look like they've thrown in the towel. Against Alanya, once again, Trabzon conceded too many chances and looked tame going forward. This is not going to be an easy 90 minutes for the hosts.
  • Kasimpasa managed to hold Sivasspor to a goalless draw last time out. This was a great result and a decent performance by Kasimpasa in Keles's first game in charge. The number of chances they created was indeed impressive as Sivasspor are one of the better defenders in the league. Against Trabzon's defence, one of the frailest in the Super Lig at the moment, Kasimpasa will be able to create quite a few scoring chances.
  • Kasimpasa are yet to lose an away game so far this season and Trabzon's home form has improved, as they've only dropped points against Fenerbahce in their last 4 outings. This will be tightly contested and we might end up with a high-scoring draw.
