Team News

Galatasaray
Trabzonspor
  • Mauro Icardi has suffered a cruciate ligament tear and will not be available until the next season. As Victor Osimhen is also injured, Michy Batshuayi will lead the attack.
  • Ismail Jakobs has suffered a calf muscle tear that will keep him out of contention until 2025.
  • Kaan Ayhan has suffered a hamstring strain and will not be available until the end of December and Davinson Sanchez is also injured. As Metehan Baltaci is suspended, Victor Nelsson is likely to start here.
  • Hakim Ziyech might get a rare start as Baris Alper Yilmaz is also injured.
  • John Lundstram is expected to deputise for the injured Okay Yokuslu.
  • Stefan Savic has suffered yet another muscle injury and Hüseyin Turkmen is also not going to be available. That means Serdar Saatci will start.
  • Eren Elmali will deputise for Arif Bosluk.
  • Serkan Asan, who wasn't expected to start here, is also injured.
  • Stefano Denswil, Enis Bardhi, and Mislav Orsic have reportedly been banished to the reserves.

Prediction

  • Galatasaray managed to beat Sivasspor 3-2 last time out. This was a remarkable performance as they played almost the entire game with 10 men. Then, they kept Malmö to a 2-2 draw in the Europea League away game. Despite missing many key names here Buruk will still be able to field a very strong attacking line up. No doubt, they will concede chances but will create many more against Trabzons's frail defence.
  • Trabzonspor were held to a 2-2 draw by Kasimpasa last time out. Things are not going well for Gunes here as he cannot find a solution to his team's defensive problems. They will very likely score here as Banza is in great form and Gala will be without key defenders but it will be a massive surprise if they can stop the Lions from scoring more.
