- Dundee manager Tony Docherty made three changes from the Dee team that lost in controversial circumstances 2-1 to St Johnstone at Dens Park, before they lost 2-0 to Celtic at Parkhead in their midweek match
- Jon McCracken took Trevor Carson's place in goal behind Ryan Astley, Clark Robertson and Antonio Portales as opposed to Billy Koumetio in the Dee defence. Ziyad Larkeche and Ethan Ingram continued at left and right wing-back respectively.
- Mo Sylla, Finlay Robertson and Lyall Cameron remained in the middle of the park but were joined by Josh Mulligan as the Dee shifted to a 5-4-1 to take on the reigning champions. Curtis Main made way for Simon Murray to start as the sole striker.
- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named an unchanged Killie eleven after a sole goal was enough to nick all three points against Rangers, before they blew a lead up in the Highlands as Ross County came from behind to beat ten-men Killie 2-1.
- Robby McCrorie remained in goal behind a back four of Corrie Ndaba, Joe Wright who replaced the injured Stuart Findlay, Robbie Deas and Lewis Mayo. Matty Kennedy and Danny Armstrong continued to provide the width on the flanks.
- Liam Donnelly was sent off on Saturday in Dingwall, so David Watson came in to accompany Brad Lyons in the middle of the park. Kyle Vassell, who netted the midweek winner in Edinburgh, and Marley Watkins lead the line once more.
