Goalkeeping duo Jack Walton and Dave Richards have signed on loan from Luton Town and Crewe Alexandra on a permanent deal respectively. Ryan Strain has swapped St Mirren for United. Croatian defender Vicko Sevelj has signed from Slovenian side NK Radomlje.
Midfielder David Babunski has joined from Hungarian outfit Mezokovesd. Richard Odada has transferred from Philadelphia Union of MLS. Will Ferry has arrived from Cheltenham Town.
Winger Kristijan Trapanovski has left FC Shkupi of Macedonia to sign for United. Bonaire striker Jort van der Sande could lead the line for the Terrors after arriving from Dutch club ADO Den Haag.

Club stalwart Cammy Kerr departed Dundee to sign for Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship. Lee Ashcroft also dropped a division to sign for Partick Thistle. Tyler French swapped Dundee for Sutton United in the National League.
Shaun Byrne departed Dens Park to sign for Raith Rovers. Zak Rudden has also left the club, to join Cammy Kerr in signing for the Spiders. Mexican forward Diego Pineda has returned to his homeland to sign for Venados FC.
Goalkeeper Jon McCracken has signed for the club permanently from Norwich City. Clark Robertson has swapped Israeli side FC Ashdod to sign for the Dee. Ethan Ingram joins the club from West Brom and Dundee have re-signed Simon Murray from Ross County, hoping for a repeat of last season from the Staggies' star striker.

Prediction

The last two Scottish Championship champions go head-to-head, as the Dundee derby returns to the Scottish Premiership for the first time since the 2021/22 campaign.
Jim Goodwin was the last manager in Dundee United's Scottish Premiership campaign the season before last, but brought them straight back up from the Scottish Championship. Whilst those affiliated with United will argue that they should be towards the top end of the league table, top tier survival should be the target first and foremost when coming up from Scotland's second tier.
Across the city, mind you, Tony Docherty was installed as Gary Bowyer's successor as the new Dundee manager and it proved a masterstroke. A top-half finish, as a newly promoted outfit, was very impressive from the Dee who were unfortunate to miss out on European football at the end of the season. A repeat of last campaign, or an even better season, would be a huge success.
The Dundee derby usually produces goals but, given this is an opening day derby, it's unclear if this game will produce a clear winner to take home all three points.
