- Hibernian manager David Gray made just one change from the Hibees conceding a late leveller which saw Dundee leave Easter Road with a 2-2 draw, before they did so again down at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock before the international break.
- Jordan Obita, Warren O'Hora, Marvin Ekpiteta and Lewis Miller made up the unchanged back four in front of Josef Bursik. The only change came in midfield as Nectarios Traintis replaced Nicky Cadden to accompany Joe Newell and Hyeok-Kyu Kwon.
- Rudi Molotnikov and Martin Boyle supported lone striker Mykola Kukharevych in attack. Kieron Bowie suffered an injury whilst away on international duty with Scotland's Under 21s so shouldn't be in contention to feature.
- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein made three changes after Saints lost 2-0 at Tannadice to Dundee United, before a 2-1 defeat at home to Motherwell in their final Scottish Premiership match before the international break.
- Ross Sinclair replaced Josh Rae in goal, making his first competitive Saints appearance since suffering an elbow injury over a year ago. Kyle Cameron, Lewis Neilson and Jack Sanders - who was sent off against Motherwell - remained in defence.
- Andre Raymond and Drey Wright provided the width as left wing-back and right wing-back respectively. Matt Smith and Aaron Essel were joined in midfield by Cammy MacPherson, replacing Graham Carey. Adama Sidibeh served the first of his four-game suspension, as Nicky Clark took his spot.
