Prediction

Two of last season's bottom six meet in the final fixture of the opening weekend in the Scottish Premiership, as St Johnstone host Aberdeen at McDiarmid Park in Monday night's sole fixture.
St Johnstone have been swirling round the Scottish Premiership plughole in the last few campaigns, with Craig Levein ultimately achieving the objective that he was brought in to do in 2023/24 and it'll probably be a similar scenario this season. It's a case of out with the old and in with the new, as Saints will hope that their large turnover of playing personnel can gain results quickly.
Swedish manager Jimmy Thelin takes charge of Aberdeen, hoping to reinstate the club into the top half of the Scottish Premiership table or potentially even European qualification. Whilst the manager ought to be given time, there's an expectancy and demand from the supporters that they should be fighting the biggest clubs in the division to finish in the top four at the very least.
