Team News

Tottenham
Liverpool
  • Archie Gray will continue alongside Radu Dragusin at the heart of the defence.
  • Destiny Udogie and Timo Werner will be assessed, though may not be risked here, but no fewer than six players are missing for Spurs due to injury.
  • Rodrigo Bentancur serves the last of his seven-game ban.
  • Alexis Mac Allister is available for league action having served his ban in the 2-2 draw with Fulham and should return to the side.
  • Andy Robertson is also back for Liverpool, who are without only Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley here.

Prediction

  • Tottenham booked their spot in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup with a 4-3 win over Manchester United on Thursday night. Spurs won have now won back-to-back games for the first time since the end of October.
  • Liverpool, like Spurs, also secured a place in the next round of the EFL Cup with a 2-1 win at Southampton. The Reds have looked a little vulnerable of late, drawing two of their last four, though they have still lost just the once in all competitions this season.
  • Liverpool's run should continue on Sunday with Arne Slot's side favourites to secure all the spoils.

  • salah ballon d'or

  • Why is Szoboszlai attempt in 53rd min going down as a shot on target when it was blocked by a defender ?

  • @GeorgeyD If it was on target then it’s both a shot on target and a block, no?

  • @sarigginsUSA not sure. Usually if a defender gets in the way, the ball didn’t reach the target so it isn’t deemed a shot on target. Goalkeepers must save a shot for it to be deemed on target. I have lost bets in the past with this format of rule applied. I am wondering if the difference here is that the goalkeeper was bypassed already? But can’t find clarification anywhere.. have never seen a defender block classed as a shot on target before.

  • @GeorgeyD it’ll be because Archie Gray didn’t block Dominik Szoboszlai’s shot but rather made a clearance off the line to prevent the goal. As the effort did beat Fraser Forster, it is marked as a shot on target for that reason. Similar happened in the EFL Cup in midweek with Federico Chiesa, where his 89th-minute effort beat Alex McCarthy, but then the shot was cleared off the line by Taylor Harwood-Bellis. It’s a shot on target because the goalkeeper is beaten, rather than a shot that is blocked for this reason. Hope this helps!

  • Nine goals and none of them penalties or own goals. None of them particularly controversial either.

  • Salah with 2 goals and 2 assists and his rating is not a clear 10.0 ?

  • @neumi17 Goals count less if the team already has a comfortable lead, e.g. a 1-0 is worth more than a 4-1.

  • Results like these do not mean that the Premier League is the 'best league in the world'. They mean that even the top PL clubs have bad defences.

  • @Sputnik Classic Sputnik, as soon as Liverpool start winning, moaning about the quality of defenses, players are overrated, league is weak, blah blah blah as if Liverpool are not top of the new CL format playing tough teams almost every matchday

  • @Sputnik what has that got to do with Tottenham?

  • @eastend1 Actually, you're right, Tottenham are not a top club.

  • @Sputnik And yet here you are commenting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • I just won two multis already, over 2.5, James score or assist, Salah 2 shots on target, and score, etc. Now that I see Diogoal is on I wish i bet on him to score/assist.

  • mohammed salah TSA is a cheat code now

  • Salah 2 goals and an assist so far.

  • Dear Tottenham Hotspur, do everyone a favour and relegate yourselves to the Sunday league!

  • @Sputnik It sure seems like even when Tottenham lose by three goals they successfully get under your skin.

  • over 2.5 goals and BTTS

  • Liverpool are obviously favourites. Some Tottenham players are likely to still be a bit tired from Thursday and Forster might be a bit nervous. However, Spence may well continue his bright rebirth and cause Liverpool a few problems. Tottenham 2-3 Liverpool

  • I bet on yellow cards first half over 1.5

  • @buthethi should be easy, sir.
