The way Wirtz ran told me that he was probably injured. But I still not understand why Alonso would force to play Hlozek, Adli, and Hoffman, three second string Leverkusen players on such an important game. In any case, this season Leverkusen is an incredibly lucky team with these late goals and considering the fact that even De Rossi did not believe that Roma could advance to the finals. A coach like Jupp Heinkess would not let Alonso get away with starting 3 second string Leverkusen players. He used to be an attacking mastermind both as a player and as a coach, while De Rossi used to be a defensive midfielder and that showed clearly in his game plan today.
@Zoltan Nothing was happy, everything was and is forced and deserved. Today Rome were lucky to be gifted two goals.

Xavi Alonso committed his first mistake in the season when he opted not to start with Wirtz, Boniface, and Andrich. It will be interesting to see whether he will rectify his mistake in time by introducing these 3 important players at the beginning of the second half. If he does not, he will risk overtime OR having to score 1 goal in the last minutes of the half to avoid overtime. De Rossi should also introduce Paolo Dybala because without his creative genius Roma won't be able to score a normal goal. My bet on this game will be pending on these coaching decisions!
@Zoltan Yet despite not starting with Boniface, Wirtz and Andrich Leverkusen played excellent and should have been up 3-0 after 45 minutes. It actually does matter who plays, it's always a very good team performance.
@neumi17 I cannot bet on what should have been. I can only bet on what I see and what I can anticipate based on coaching decisions. I was right that without the players I mentioned none of these teams are able to score normal goals (2 penalties and 1 own goals were not normal goals, they were what I call "goals found", which is not based on skill, they were based on luck). The last goal of Stanisic was I guess a normal goal, but Stanisic is a defender. So risking money by betting on this weird game did not make sense, even if some guys like "Marbella" won with their over 2.5 bet, because he just got lucky. Realistically speaking, with the Italian keeper having the game of his life, this game should have been 1-0 for Leverkusen. All the other goals were fortunate goals "found", not achieved by actually building up an attack!
