- Livingston manager Davie Martindale named just one change to the Lions team that bounced back to beat St Johnstone 2-1 in West Lothian after conceding the first goal, before they were hammered up in Aberdeen 5-1 at Pittodrie.
- Shamal George continued in goal behind a back four of Sean Kelly, Mikey Devlin, Michael Nottingham and Cristian Montano. Scott Pittman and Jamie Brandon continued in front of the back four with Jason Holt missing from the squad.
- Bruce Anderson dropped to the bench as Steven Bradley started on the flank. Stephen Kelly and Joel Nouble supported lone striker Tete Yengi, who scored from the spot to give the Lions the lead on Wednesday night, but to no avail.
- Interim Hibernian manager David Gray named three changes to the Hibs starting eleven after a 4-0 humbling at home to Aberdeen cost Nick Montgomery his job, before a routine 3-0 victory over Motherwell in their midweek match.
- Lewis Stevenson came in for his 600th Hibernian appearance, as he and Paul Hanlon played at Easter Road for the Hibees one last time. The duo were joined in the back four by Chris Cadden and Rocky Bushiri, as Jordan Obita made way.
- The other two changes came in the middle of the park, as Nectarios Triantis replaced Nathan Moriah-Welsh to partner Joe Newell in front of the back four. Josh Campbell took Emiliano Marcondes' place to join Martin Boyle and Myziane Maolida in support of lone striker Dylan Vente.
