St. Mirren
- Dundee manager Tony Docherty made two changes from the Dee team that clinched a second successive 0-0 draw, against Rangers at Dens Park, before they scarcely lost 2-1 at home to Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
- Club captain Joe Shaughnessy's season is over after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, and he was replaced by Antonio Portales who scored against Celtic but it proved no more than a consolation goal.
- Josh Mulligan replaced Lyall Cameron, who was omitted from the matchday squad, in midfield. Luke McCowan took the armband, as he and Scott Tiffoney supported Amadou Bakayoko in attack.
- St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson made four changes after the Buddies were battered 3-0 at Parkhead against Celtic, before Saints narrowly lost 2-1 to Rangers in Paisley last Sunday.
- James Bolton replaced Richard Taylor at the back for the Buddies. Elvis Bwomono was forced off against the Hoops, so was on the bench against Rangers after a concussion, as Ryan Strain took his spot at right wing-back.
- Conor McMenamin joined Greg Kiltie in support of the incoming Mikael Mandron, who netted their equaliser, as the ill Keanu Baccus and Toyosi Olusanya were both sat amongst the substitutes last Sunday.
