Team News

Germany
Hungary
  • Julian Nagelsmann may make just the one change to the team that started the thrashing of Scotland, with Pascal Gross coming in for Robert Andrich.
  • Hungary boss Marco Rossi has no injury concerns ahead of their second group game.
  • Bendeguz Bolla, who came on at half-time in the defeat to Switzerland, could be the only change here.

Prediction

  • Germany kicked off this summer's European Championship in style on Friday night, as they put five past a poor Scotland side.
  • The hosts looked fluid and free-scoring in their first major tournament game under Julian Nagelsmann, and could continue in that vein of form here.
  • Hungary, meanwhile, struggled in their opener against Switzerland, eventually succumbing to a 3-1 defeat in Cologne.
  • Germany will be expected to secure their place in the last 16 with a comfortable victory in Stuttgart.

  • Havertz is not a striker ! Don't know what he is but upfront he only works if there is enough space and his team provides for him.

  • Yep, the Hungarians have been cruelly cheated with the first goal. There would have been no push in the back from Gundogan, there would have been no goal. The defender lost his balance and fell out of the episode precisely because of a push in the back. Who knows, if the defender against whom the push was committed had a different surname, then maybe these dutch pansy boys would not have missed the rule violation against him.

  • @exul That doesn't matter, then Germany would have scored a few minutes later in a different way. Hungary was technically way to limited to get anything out of that game.

  • @exul Just a reminder: They are playing football, not chess. Body contact is a part of the game. If the Hungarian defender falls like a feather, it's not Gündogans fault.

  • @sailorripley Pushing opponents in the back is prohibited not only in chess. And that push was significant, which clearly caused the loss of balance of the defender.

  • @exul Yeah, well, it wasn't a push with the hands, it was contact. And the ref let a lot of contact go throughout the game, not just in this scene.

  • What a poor game! It it were not for the illegal goal, it would be still 0-0! If I wouldn't know, I would think this is a friendly game.

  • @Zoltan Just because you're Hungarian you don't have to be THAT ignorant...

  • What about VAR? Clear foul during the 1st German goal and the goal is still given. It's not enough that the game sucks, refereeing sucks as well!

  • @Zoltan It was VAR- checked and deemed legal. Deal with it.

  • @Zoltan Who fouled? Gündogan?

  • King Kai +130 / Wirtz +175 To Score Anytime / Szoboszlai To Score/Assist Anytime +270

  • @KingKeno Havertz sucks, you shouldn't bet on him.

  • @KingKeno booo

  • Germany Win and Over 2.5 Goals in the game @ 1.75 Odds

  • @Marbella There you go: never bet Over 2.5 goals which is way above the skill level of these teams with the ball possession strategy employed by both teams and the poor forwards of the likes of Havertz, Sane, or Varga. If it works, it is usually because of luck.

  • @Marbella I am not so sure about Germany winning: nowadays any team who wants it most, can win. Being favourite on paper means nothing because even the very best teams are weak mentally and they employ garbage coaches who advocate ball possession instead of attacking football. That favours lesser teams who want it most!

  • @Zoltan Very simplistic attitude...

  • @Zoltan Any team who wants it most can win? Yeah, I'm sure American Samoa would beat Germany if they just wanted it more.

  • @grapefruit As far as I know, American Samoa didn't qualify for the European Championship smart Alec!

  • GERMANY Neuer, Kimmich, Rudiger, Tah, Mittelstadt, Andrich, Kroos, Gundogan, Musiala, Havertz, Wirtz.

  • Croatia / Germany Win double @ 1.95 Odds

  • 3-0

  • musiala and gundo to step up

  • @LM10GOAT Good call ! They were the best players.

  • @LM10GOAT GUNDOOO

  • Hungary lost by .. Orban, if he does not play or plays his "usual best" then it is 1-1 or 2-1.

  • The Germans should deliver, although Hungary have had a good record against Germany in the recent years.

  • Hungary always performs against better opposition. Their results against top-10 sides speak for themselves. It will be tough, but they could sneak a point here.

  • @DaelenMagyar No.

  • @Sputnik why?

  • @papaitucano Because Hungary suck.

  • @Sputnik Hungary is better than Scotland dude…

  • @papaitucano Sure, but that isn't saying much tbh

  • @KingKeno Despite Germany's favoritism, I think people are forgetting the bad games Germany played in qualifying. The problems are still there…

  • @papaitucano Germany are a different team while Toni Kroos is on the pitch.

  • 3-0 Germany

  • Buy low spot on Hungary. Sprinkle on Hungary to win/draw and +1
