Team News

Man Utd
Newcastle
  • Erik Ten Hag will have to deal with at least seven absentees for the Carabao Cup fixture against Newcastle.
  • Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Amad Diallo are all confirmed out with Casemiro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in with a shot of making the squad, but are doubtful.
  • Newcastle will be without their match winner from the previous round, Alexander Isak, who misses out through injury and they will likely rely on in-form Callum Wilson.

Prediction

  • In a repeat of last season's final, Man United welcome Newcastle to Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup.
  • Ten Hag's men will be looking to make amends after derby defeat to Man City at the weekend. The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford by their neighbours thanks to a brace from Erling Haaland and a third by Phil Foden.
  • United have lost five league games already this season, including three of their five home games, and find themselves in eighth position in the Premier League.
  • Newcastle are unbeaten in their last six in the Premier League and beat Man City in the third round of the Carabao Cup to tee up the trip to Man United.

  • Actually, Man Utd needs to improve its conversion rate. The match was equal in this regard. Still, Ragnick was right, all club needs to have "open heart" surgery, not only players and coaching staff.

  • 10th game at home and 5th defeat already, Old Trafford was branded as a fortress until a few months ago. Same manager, almost the same players with a few newcomers but no improvement at all. Even if the manager changes, this squad is going nowhere this season.

  • Dalot looks like drunk;) Maguire assist

  • no Rashford nor Eriksen, so 2-1 indeed

  • Over 2.5 goals @ 1.75 Odds.

  • @Marbella That was easy -)

  • Man U is scared of goals. 0-3

  • @Oversonly Hope you all listened. Man U has the worst offense in PL! Buy some more stock so they can get a striker!

  • Newcastle are set to be without 6 first-team players for the trip to Old Trafford, as Eddie Howe also prepares for key games in the coming week against Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.

  • It is best waiting for team news an hour before kick off.

  • @Marbella Agreed.

  • MU pens?

  • @eastend1 I don't think so.

  • Newcastle win 2-1

  • Newcastle will be far more motivated, and will likely get the win here. 1-3

  • Newcastle 2-1
