Team News

Man City
RBL
  • Kevin De Bruyne and Mateo Kovacic won't return to action until next month.
  • Matheus Nunes is close to a return to fitness and could feature in some capacity in midweek.
  • John Stones' injury wasn't as bad as initially feared and he was fit enough to make the bench at the weekend.
  • Forwards Dani Olmo, Timo Werner and Benjamin Sesko miss the trip to Manchester City.
  • Willi Orban and El Chadaille Bitshiabu are also absent.

Prediction

  • Manchester City head into Tuesday's welcome of RB Leipzig unbeaten in seven, but they have failed to win their last two, conceding five goals in draws with Chelsea and Liverpool. That said, City have been unstoppable in the Champions League, winning all four games so far.
  • RB Leipzig's only defeat in the Champions League came against City in the reverse fixture. They, like City, have already secured their spot in the next round of the Champions League though they'll look to avoid a repeat of the result when they last played the Cityzen's at the Etihad.
  • Given RB Leipzig's injury issues, City should ease to victory.

  • Guardiola and his experiments.. wolves Chelsea Liverpool arsenal Newcastle and now rbl.. lucky to b in top 3 this time.. without haaland n rodri we will be below 10

  • @Mdy Guardiola never finished belowe 3rd, calm down brother

  • Akanju n lewis in midfield( not all r stones). all playing out of positions.. city all over the place..

  • @Mdy They are classified already, the right time to test things

  • @Mdy this high line defence will lose to Bolton's route one football...best (naïve) team in the world...serves Pep right for thinking this will be an easy match...mind, they haven't played well in a month already....

  • Cannot understand why Doku did not start.

  • @Marbella Doku is unpredictable...not challenging enough for Pep....better to stick with Grealish so his 100% cut inside then fall over is easier on the opponent...If Pep doesn't make a few subs, Lewis will be dominated in midfield, Left wing is impotent, Dias will be sent off and Akanji will play with zero confidence after another 10 minutes... oh well...

  • Yup...as mentioned...zero surprises...Pep's been found out...hahaha....

  • @AramisMick - This comment aged like milk.

  • Leipzig win to nil

  • 3-1 ===HT, FT ManCity ===BTTS 80% ==== 0.5 Goal Half Time 100% === +2 Goal FT 100%

  • Both teams have scored in Leipzigs last 4 Champions League games.

  • 4-1 pep

  • MC 3-0

  • 2-2 Pep likes to make some surprise vs Germans ;)

  • @koziol.mutant It's no longer a surprise mate...rush forward then pass backwards....do left to right to left passes leisurely directly in front of the penalty box against high pressing teams...ignore a speedy and strong striker but try short passes to eventually get the ball into the net instead...have 2-3-4 players constantly yell at the ref hoping he forgot to bring his yellow/red card...no KDB so completely ignore crossing to let everyone shoots from as far as possible...never make substitutions unless someone is injured......:p I think teams are aware of Pep's self-imposed challenge,,,
