Team News

Hatayspor
Besiktas
  • Chandrel Massanga is expected to feature as a make-shift left back as Faouzi Ghoulam is injured.
  • Carlos Strandberg and Kerim Alici are expected to deputise for the injured Didier Lamkel Ze and Kamil Corekci respectively.
  • Burak Yilmaz, who wasn't expected to start here, is also injured.
  • Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Gedson Fernandes are injured so Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov will start in midfield.
  • Necip Uysal, Emrecan Uzunhan, and Umut Meras, none of whom were expected to start here, are also injured.
  • Mert Gunok had yet another abysmal day in goal against Alanyaspor last time out so Ersin Destanoglu might start here.
  • The board had announced that Rachid Ghezzal, Vincent Aboubakar, Jean Onana, Valentin Rosier, and Eric Bailly will no longer feature for Besiktas as they cause discordance in the dressing room. There were rumours that they were forgiven, but club has made no announcement so the fate of these players remains a mystery for now.

Prediction

  • Hatayspor shared points with Ankaragucu in a goalless draw last time out. Personnel changes paid off and Hatayspor looked much more organized at the back. At home, this is a very strong team and are facing a Besiktas side in such disarray that Demirel's team should be seen as favorites here.
  • Besiktas were beaten 3-1 by Alanyaspor last time out. This was their first home loss to Alanya and Calimbay resigned after the game. The board had not even asked his opinion about the five players who were banned and Calimbay rightly felt it was no longer possible for him to stay at the helm. The club is in chaos, there is no communication between the board and the public, and on the pitch, quite a few players are underperforming at inexplicable levels.
