- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein named three changes to the Saints side that were held at home in a 1-1 draw with Livingston in Perth, before they fell to a 3-1 defeat to Celtic at Parkhead before the international break.
- Dimitar Mitov continued in goal with David Keltjens, Ryan McGowan, Liam Gordon, Andy Considine - who replaced Nicky Clark - and Luke Robinson chosen as the back five.
- Sven Sprangler, Matt Smith and Daniel Phillips sat in front of the Saints backline. Diallang Jaiyesimi and Benjamin Kimpioka made way for Graham Carey and Adama Sidibeh to be selected in Glasgow in their last league match.
- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named two changes to the Dee team that conceded a late leveller to Kilmarnock which saw them leave Dens Park with a point in a 2-2 draw, before bouncing back to beat Aberdeen 1-0 in their last league game.
- Both changes came in the wing-back areas, either side of an unchanged Dee defence consisting of Antonio Portales, Joe Shaughnessy and Aaron Donnelly. Dara Costelloe replaced Josh Mulligan on the right, with Owen Beck being replaced by Owen Dodgson on the left.
- Mo Sylla and Lyall Cameron had previously taken Malachi Boateng and Finlay Robertston’s places in midfield, joined by Luke McCowan. Scott Tiffoney continued to join Curtis Main up front at Amadou Bakayoko's expense.
