Team News

Hibernian
Livingston
  • Hibs boss Nick Montgomery named three changes to the Hibernian team that was knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Rangers at Easter Road, as they drew in Dingwall thanks to a last-gasp Ross County equaliser in their 2-2 stalemate.
  • Lewis Miller retook his spot at right-back for all of 34 minutes, until being replaced by Chris Cadden once more. He joined Will Fish, Rocky Bushiri and Jordan Obita in the Hibees' back four. Joe Newell and Nectarios Triantis continued in midfield.
  • Dylan Levitt replaced the suspended Nathan Moriah-Welsh in the middle of the park. Elie Youan took Martin Boyle's place on the right-hand side. Adam Le Fondre fired Hibs in front up in the Highlands so could start this weekend.
  • Davie Martindale named five changes to the Livingston team that were held in a 1-1 draw away to relegation rivals St Johnstone in Perth, before they were knocked out of the Scottish Cup as they lost 4-2 to holders Celtic in Glasgow.
  • Michael McGovern replaced Shamal George in goal at the weekend. Club captain Mikey Devlin was unavailable. That meant Michael Nottingham, Ayo Obileye, Sean Kelly started in the centre with Cristian Montano and Jamie Brandon as wing-backs.
  • David Carson and Jason Holt both made way in the middle of the park, ommitted from the matchday squad, as Andrew Shinnie dropped onto the bench. In came Stephen Kelly, Steven Bradley and Joel Nouble to start on Sunday.

Prediction

  • Top of the bottom six take on the basement boys this Saturday, as Hibernian host Livingston at Easter Road.
  • The Hibees slipped to seventh place after a late leveller from Ross County meant they departed Dingwall with a draw on Wednesday night. Had Hibs held on, they would've remained in the top six. But after Dundee's sole goal success against Aberdeen, the Dee moved up into the top hald of the Scottish Premiership table. Hibernian must respond here, in order to hopefully leapfrog Dundee.
  • Livingston have won at Easter Road this season, way back in August, but are coming up against a new Hibs team with a different man in the dugout. Livi gave a really good account of themselves in their Scottish Cup defeat to Celtic on Sunday, and there's no disgrace in losing to the reigning champions of that cup competition. But every point's a prisoner as they try to pick up all three here.
  • Despite losing to Livingston at home at the very start of the campaign, Hibs found a way to squeeze past Livi in December and will want all three points this weekend too.
