Team News

Livingston
Hibernian
  • Davie Martindale named three changes to the Livingston team that fell to a 2-0 defeat to Rangers in West Lothian before the international break, before their winless run without scoring continued as St Mirren snuck past them 1-0 in Paisley.
  • Michael Nottingham entered the Livi back three, joining Sean Kelly and Mikey Devlin, at Luiyi de Lucas' expense. Jason Holt replaced Mo Sangare to accompany Andrew Shinnie and Scott Pittman in the middle of the park.
  • Cristian Montaño made way for Kurtis Guthrie to partner Bruce Anderson up front. That meant that Joel Nouble ended up playing an unfamiliar role of right wing-back the weekend before last.
  • Hibs boss Nick Montgomery named two changes to the Hibernian team that claimed a third successive league victory with a 2-0 home win against Aberdeen, before a 4-1 thumping at the hands of Celtic in their midweek match.
  • Lewis Miller netted what proved the winning goal against Dundee, shortly before he was sent off at Dens Park last Saturday. Rory Whittaker took his spot at right-back at the weekend, but made way for the Aussie's return on Wednesday night.
  • The other alteration came up front as Martin Boyle - making his 300th appearance for the Hibees - was partnered by Élie Youan in attack as Dylan Vente dropped onto the bench.

Prediction

  • Rock-bottom Livingston host a Hibernian side that lost their first of four Scottish Premiership matches, away to the league leaders, on Wednesday night.
  • Livingston's 'all-weather' surface fell victim to the weather last weekend, as their match against Ross County was rearranged. The Lions have won just two Scottish Premiership matches so far this season, with the first of those coming shortly along the M8 in Edinburgh against the Hibees back in August. Livi could alleviate some pressure of the drop if they claimed another win against Hibs.
  • But the Hibees were in decent form prior to a loss against the league leaders. Before their battering in Glasgow's east end against Celtic, Hibs had won three Scottish Premiership matches on the spin as they beat Kilmarnock and Aberdeen in Edinburgh without conceding a goal, either side of an impressive win at Dens against Dundee. This is a great chance to get back to winning ways.
  • Livingston have already claimed a league victory over Hibernian this season but, despite having had extra time to prepare, it will be tough to repeat the feat at home to Hibs this weekend.
