Team News

Ross County
Dundee FC
  • Ross County boss Derek Adams named one enforced change to the Staggies side after a comfortable 3-0 victory over Motherwell in the Highlands last Tuesday night, before a 2-0 defeat to St Mirren in Paisley at the weekend.
  • Ryan Leak, Jack Baldwin and Dylan Smith started as the back three, with the youngster replacing Will Nightingale, who was sent off against the Steelmen. Ben Purrington, Scott Allardice, Connor Randall and James Brown are the chosen four-man midfield at present.
  • Yan Dhanda - who put County two to the good against Motherwell - supported Simon Murray, who fired home the opener, in attack. Jordan White continued up front after netting the winner against St Mirren last month but fired a blank on Saturday.
  • Dundee boss Tony Docherty named one enforced change to the Dee team after a crazy 3-3 draw against Motherwell at Fir Park, before they took the lead at Ibrox but lost 3-1 to Rangers on Saturday.
  • Jordan McGhee stayed at right wing-back, with the injured Owen Beck making way at left wing-back as the Dee persisted with a back three. Ricki Lamie came into the starting eleven at the back, with Aaron Donnelly moving to wing-back.
  • Malachi Boateng kept his place alongside Lyall Cameron and Luke McCowan in the midfield trio. Zak Rudden continued to partner Amadou Bakayoko - who fired the Dee ahead in Govan on Saturday - in attack.

Prediction

  • Eighth hosts seventh, as Ross County take on Dundee in Dingwall with both teams scrapping to break into the top six of the Scottish Premiership table.
  • County hit the road for the first time under Derek Adams in his third tenure, and finally conceded and lost under the new (old) manager against a St Mirren side that are powerful in Paisley. However, the Staggies have been strong at home recently under their club legend with the defence yet to be breached. They'll fancy their chances of returning to winning ways this weekend.
  • Dundee have won just one of their seven matches away from home in the Scottish Premiership so far this season. Their season won't be defined by a defeat to Rangers at Ibrox but they're looking to build on six points from eight games on their travels. Having played out a 0-0 stalemate against County at Dens Park in October, they'll want to pick up all three points up north here.
  • There were no goals in the previous league meeting between these two teams and, given County are trying to turn Victoria Park into a fortress, the hosts will try to sneak past Dundee this weekend.
