Team News

Kilmarnock
Livingston
  • Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes named three changes to the Killie team that blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Hibernian at Rugby Park the weekend before last, before a 1-1 draw at Fir Park with Motherwell last weekend.
  • Will Dennis, Killie's keeper on loan from AFC Bournemouth, took Kieran O'Hara's place between the sticks. Tom Davies started alongside Stuart Findlay, Joe Wright and goalscorer Lewis Mayo at left-back replacing the suspended Corrie Ndaba.
  • Liam Polworth took Rory McKenzie's place in the middle of the park, accompanying David Watson in midfield. There was a spot amongst the substitutes for Greg Stewart and Kevin van Veen to feature against his former club.
  • Davie Martindale named four changes to the Livingston team that was held at home in a 2-2 draw with relegation rivals Ross County last midweek, before a 3-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
  • Shamal George came back in between the sticks, replacing Michael McGovern in goal. Michael Nottingham made way for Shaun Donnellan to start alongside Ayo Obileye and Mo Sangare at centre-back, as he replaced Steven Bradley.
  • There was a debut for David Carson, who has swapped Inverness for Livingston, in the middle of the park. He joined Jason Holt, Andrew Shinnie and Scott Pittman in support of lone striker Joel Nouble as Kurtis Guthrie dropped out of the team.

Prediction

  • Europe-chasing Kilmarnock are twenty points clear of a Livingston team who they host in Ayrshire this weekend, but look destined for Scottish Championship football next season.
  • Kilmarnock have proved one of the surprise packages in this season's Scottish Premiership. However, if Killie are serious about trying to track down Hearts in third then they must put an end to a four-game streak without a league victory. Draws at home to Dundee and Hibs are frustrating given they're two teams around them in the league table, but they don't fancy a third on the spin.
  • Livingston's match at Ibrox last weekend was a free hit but Livi spurned the chance to cut the gap to Ross County, who currently occupy the relegation playoff place, following a 2-2 stalemate with the Staggies. However, the Lions were minutes away from losing that game which would've probably meant that the curtain could come down on a six-year stay in the Scottish Premiership.
  • The two teams played out a goalless draw in West Lothian back in December, but Kilmarnock will hope that their last league meeting with Livingston this season - potentially - is a comfortable win.
