- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein made three changes from the Saints team that picked up a pivotal 1-0 win against Ross County at McDiarmid Park, before they fell to defeat against Hearts at Tynecastle by the same scoreline last weekend.
- Dara Costelloe replaced James Brown at right wing-back, with Luke Robinson starting on the left hand side. The back three consisted of Andy Considine, Liam Gordon and Ryan McGowan once more.
- Max Kucheriavyi took Graham Carey's place in midfield, to accompany Dan Phillips and Matt Smith. Chris Kane was partnered by the incoming Stevie May, as Nicky Clark was also omitted from the matchday squad alongside Brown and Carey.
- Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers named three changes to the Celts side that were held at home by Motherwell in a 1-1 draw on Saturday, before Lazio eliminated the Hoops from the Champions League with a 2-0 defeat in Rome on Tuesday.
- Alistair Johnston didn't feature at the weekend upon his return from international duty with Canada, but started in the Italian capital at Anthony Ralston's expense. Paulo Bernardo took Odin Thiago Holm's spot in midfield for the midweek match.
- Luis Palma was suspended for the game at the Stadio Olimpico, which meant James Forrest replaced the Honduran on the right. On the left, Hyun-Jun Yang continued to support Celtic's main marksman Kyogo Furuhashi up front.
