Team News

Ross County
Livingston
  • Ross County boss Malky Mackay named three changes to the Staggies side which fell to a 2-0 defeat in Dingwall to Rangers, before claiming a 1-0 win at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock prior to the international break.
  • Will Nightingale came into the Staggies' defence as they shifted to a back three, replacing George Harmon. Josh Reid, back at the club following a spell at Coventry City, started at left wing-back as Victor Loturi dropped out of the team.
  • Kyle Turner joined Connor Randall and Yan Dhanda in midfield, as Josh Sims was sat amongst the subs. Jordan White and Simon Murray, who netted the goal which proved the winner in Ayrshire, continued in attack.
  • Davie Martindale named an unchanged Livingston team after Livi recorded a wonderful win as they got the better of Hibernian 3-2 at Easter Road, before a late sickener saw them draw 1-1 with St Mirren in their last league game.
  • Shamal George continued in goal with Mikey Devlin, Ayo Obileye and goalscorer Luiyi de Lucas staying in the Lions' back three. Jamie Brandon replaced the injured Cristian Montaño at right wing-back with James Penrice moving to the left.
  • Andrew Shinnie and Jason Holt are the current partnership in midfield. Scott Pittman and Joel Nouble supported Kurtis Guthrie in attack. Mo Sangare, Stephen Kelly and Bruce Anderson all came off the bench, hoping to play a part for Livi.

Prediction

  • Both Ross County and Livingston have had indifferent starts to the Scottish Premiership season, both hoping to stay and try to gain an outside chance of gatecrashing the top six.
  • The Staggies picked up a wonderful win prior to the international break, getting the better of the previously all-conquering Kilmarnock at Rugby Park albeit in controversial circumstances. County's defeats have came against the top two, accompanied by victories against St Johnstone and the aforementioned Killie. They'll fancy their chances of a third league victory of the season in this one.
  • Livingston were denied a second league win of the season in heartbreaking fashion last time out. Both Livi's home games have ended in draws, with a 0-0 stalemate against Aberdeen succeded by the late killer against St Mirren where they conceded in the 96th minute. Their last league game on the road was a great win against Hibs so they're looking for back-to-back away league wins.
  • Both teams won once at home and once away against one another last season. However, Ross County's win against Killie will give them great confidence before hosting Livi in the Highlands.
