- Aberdeen boss Barry Robson named three changes to the Dons team that fell to a 2-0 defeat at Easter Road to Hibernian on Sunday afternoon, before a late defeat to Kilmarnock at Pittodrie by a sole goal in their midweek match.
- Angus MacDonald replaced Slobodan Rubezic to accompany Richard Jensen and Stefan Gartenmann in the Dons defence on Wednesday night. Jonny Hayes took James McGarry's place in the starting eleven at left wing-back.
- Graeme Shinnie, Leighton Clarkson and Jamie McGrath continued in midfield. Meanwhile, Duk was given the nod to partner Bojan Miovski in attack as Ester Sokler dropped onto the substitutes' bench.
- Hearts boss Steven Naismith made two changes after the Jambos clinched a 1-0 win which was enough to beat Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday, before they lost their midweek match to Rangers at Tynecastle by the same scoreline.
- Kye Rowles, Frankie Kent and Stephen Kingsley continued as the Jambos' back three with Craig Halkett back on the bench. Alex Cochrane started at left wing-back, with the returning Nathaniel Atkinson taking Yutaro Oda's place on the right.
- Craig Gordon was back on the bench, after nearly a year out through injury. Barrie McKay was also sat amongst the substitutes, as Kyosuke Tagawa made his second Hearts start at the injured Liam Boyce's expense.
