- Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers named two changes to the Celts side that won was embarrassed 6-0 by Atletico Madrid in their Champions League meeting, before the Hoops hammered Aberdeen by the same scoreline before the break.
- Joe Hart remained between the sticks, behind an unchanged back four. Benfica loanee Paulo Bernardo dropped onto the bench, as Odin Holm joined club captain Callum McGregor and Matt O'Riley in midfield.
- Hyun-Jun Yang replaced the injured Daizen Maeda on the flank and opened the scoring against the Dons, with Luis Palma on the other side, supporting Kyogo Furuhashi up front. Hyun-Gyu Oh came off the bench to bag a brace in the recent rout.
- Stuart Kettlewell named one changes after Motherwell bounced back from two down to draw 2-2 with St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, before they lost 2-1 to Hearts at Fir Park prior to the international break.
