Team News

Livingston
Dundee FC
  • Davie Martindale named two changes to the Livingston team that clinched a 2-0 victory over Motherwell in West Lothian prior to the international break, before they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat in Ayrshire away to Kilmarnock last Saturday.
  • Mikey Devlin came in to captain the Lions, after missing four matches through injury, to join Luiyi de Lucas and Sean Kelly in the Livi backline at Ayo Obileye's expense. James Penrice and Daniel Mackay continued to provide the width.
  • Jason Holt and Scott Pittman sat in front of the back four. The only other alteration saw Stephen Kelly make way, as Mo Sangare supported Bruce Anderson and Joel Nouble in attack.
  • Dundee boss Tony Docherty made two changes from Dundee holding Hibernian at Easter Road in a goalless draw before the international break, as they played out another stalemate against Ross County at Dens Park by the same scoreline.
  • Jordan McGhee came in for Cammy Kerr on Tuesday night, starting as a right wing-back. Owen Beck continued on the left hand side with Antonio Portales, Joe Shaughnessy and Ricki Lamie remaining in front of Trevor Carson in goal.
  • Fin Robertson replaced the injured Lyall Cameron, to accompany Malachi Boateng and Luke McCowan in midfield. Zak Rudden and Amadou Bakayoko lead the line in midweek once again.

Prediction

  • Seventh-placed Livingston lead Dundee - in tenth - by two points but the hosts have played a game more than the visitors so far this season in the Scottish Premiership.
  • Livi's early inconsistencies are probably reflected in the fact that they are sat slap bang in the middle of the league table. They've lost a third of their Scottish Premiership matches so far but have won just twice in the league so far this season. If they had turned their four draws so far into a few more wins, they'd be in and amongst the top teams so a victory here should be the target.
  • The only team to have drawn more league games than Livingston is Dundee, having recorded three points from as many Scottish Premiership games. The Dee have won just once upon their return to Scotland's top tier but their only losses have come at the hands of league leaders Celtic and a St Mirren side sat in third place. A tough team to beat, a point minimum is achievable here.
  • Livi would love to extend the gap over Dundee but both teams are proving to be draw merchants, so a share of the spoils seems pretty likely in Livingston this weekend.
