- Aberdeen boss Barry Robson named two changes after the Dons lost 2-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday, before their Europa Conference League campaign began with a harsh 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.
- James McGarry made way for Jack MacKenzie to start as the Dons opted to change to a back five. Richard Jensen, Slobodan Rubezic and Stefan Gartenmann continued in the centre with Nicky Devlin at right wing-back.
- Elsewhere, Duk dropped out of the starting eleven as Aberdeen went more conservative. But that looked to pay dividends as his replacement - Dante Polvara - equalised in Germany as the visitors headed into half-time on level terms.
- Ross County boss Malky Mackay named an unchanged Staggies side after claiming a 1-0 win at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock prior to the international break, before they were held at home in a 1-1 draw against Livingston last Saturday.
- Will Nightingale came into the Staggies' defence as they shifted to a back three, replacing George Harmon. Josh Reid, back at the club following a spell at Coventry City, started at left wing-back as Victor Loturi dropped out of the team.
- Kyle Turner joined Connor Randall and Yan Dhanda in midfield, as Josh Sims was sat amongst the subs. Jordan White and Simon Murray, who netted the goal which proved the winner in Ayrshire, continued in attack.
