- Davie Martindale named four changes to the Livingston team that was swept aside in a 4-0 defeat at Ibrox in their Scottish League Cup quarter-final against Rangers before Livi claimed a point in Perth thanks to a 1-1 draw with St Johnstone.
- Tom Penrice took Luiyi De Lucas' spot in the Lions' back four. Two changes came in middle of the park as Mo Sangare and Andrew Shinnie replaced Daniel Mackay and Stephen Kelly in the midfield diamond.
- Livi's sole goal came from Sean Kelly's spot-kick but that proved enough to claim a point. In attack, Bruce Anderson partnered Joel Nouble up front at Kurtis Guthrie's expense.
- Stuart Kettlewell named an unchanged eleven despite Motherwell's 1-0 defeat at Ibrox against Rangers, before a late sickener saw them lose 2-1 to Celtic in heartbreaking fashion last Saturday lunchtime at Fir Park.
- Paul McGinn continued to accompany Bevis Mugabi and Dan Casey in the Well's back three in front of goalkeeper Liam Kelly. Stephen O'Donnell and Brodie Spencer continued at right and left wing-back respectively.
- Harry Paton and Lennon Miller started in Motherwell's midfield once again with Callum Slattery and Blair Spittal - who scored the Well's first league goal in three games which looked like an equaliser - supporting lone striker Theo Bair.
