Team News

Dundee FC
Ross County
  • Dundee boss Tony Docherty made four changes from the Dee's late thriller against Kilmarnock which finished in a 2-2 draw at Dens Park, before they held Hibernian at Easter Road in a goalless draw in their last league game three weeks ago.
  • Antonio Portales entered the Dee's back three, to accompany Ricki Lamie and Joe Shaughnessy. Jordan McGhee made way for Cammy Kerr to start at right wing-back. Josh Mulligan missed the trip to Edinburgh through suspension.
  • Lyall Cameron started as one of the three in the middle of the park, at Scott Tiffoney's expense. Amadou Bakayoko was joined in attack by Zak Rudden as opposed to Zach Robinson.
  • Ross County boss Malky Mackay named four changes to the Staggies side which lost 2-1 in Dingwall to Aberdeen in their Scottish League Cup quarter-final, before a 1-0 defeat at home to Hearts in their last league match over three weeks ago.
  • Ross Laidlaw continued in goal, behind an unchanged back three of Will Nightingale, Jack Baldwin and Ryan Leak. Kyle Turner replaced Victor Loturi in midfield, as Ben Purrington took George Harmon's place at left wing-back.
  • The injured Josh Sims and Simon Murray made way for Yan Dhanda to support a strike duo of Jordan White and Alex Samuel. The likes of Jay Henderson and Eamonn Brophy came on but failed to make much of an impact against Hearts.

Prediction

  • 10th hosts 11th as Dundee take on Ross County at Dens Park, with both sides equal on points but the hosts having a superior goal difference than the visitors.
  • Dundee are hoping to record a second league win, having lost twice upon their return to the Scottish Premiership. The Dee have drawn the most matches in the division - alongside St Johnstone, Kilmarnock and Livingston - so are proving a tough nut to crack. But they've only registered one win in their eight league matches so far, against Hearts at Dens, which they're looking to add to.
  • Ross County have won two of their seven league games so far this season, but are winless in four matches in all competitions. Their only victory on the road so far this season came against Kilmarnock in Ayrshire, but they've also been away to Aberdeen and Celtic. The quickest way to put the loss to Hearts in their last game behind them is by leaving Dundee with all three points.
  • Dundee are unbeaten in two Scottish Premiership matches, Ross County haven't won their last four, and that could be reflected in a narrow victory for the hosts here.
