Team News

Real Betis
Las Palmas
  • Fran Vietes will be the option in goal for Manuel Pellegrini due to injuries to Claudio Bravo and Rui Silva. He performed well against Sevilla in El Gran Derby.
  • Ayoze Perez seems to have found form on the left side of midfield. Willian Jose should lead the line up top for the hosts.
  • Alberto Moleiro should start this one. The 20-year-old has seriously impressed this season at Las Palmas and scored in the club's away draw with Osasuna in match day 14.
  • Alvaro Lemos and Pejino are sidelined with injuries and will not play against Betis.

Prediction

  • Las Palmas travel to the mainland looking to make it five games unbeaten on the road. The club have been in inspired form recently and sit in eighth place, only three points behind their hosts Real Betis, even without the expertise and magic of club legend Jonathan Viera the newly promoted side have steered themselves within a shot of the European places come Christmas time.
  • Betis have been impressive this year, too, and are unbeaten at the Benito Villamarin. Although they will face a tricky challenge on Sunday evening, they should control the game through gaining large swathes of possession and with slow, methodical build up.
  • Las Palmas are swift on the counter, though. A draw could be on the cards...
