Team News

Tottenham
Brighton
  • Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will see his list of absentees reduced to just two by the time his side welcome Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
  • Captain Son Heung-min returned to London on Wednesday, after South Korea were knocked out of the Asian Cup on Tuesday, and could come straight back into the starting XI here.
  • Brazilian striker Richarlison continued his impressive form in front of goal with a brace against former side Everton last time out.
  • Simon Adingra remains on international duty with Ivory Coast.
  • Solly March, Joel Veltman, James Milner and Julio Enciso continue to miss out through injury.

Prediction

  • Tottenham are unbeaten in four league matches after the draw at Goodison Park last weekend, but their last defeat came at the hands of Saturday's visitors, back in December.
  • Ange Postecoglou's side head into gameweek 24 in fifth place, six points clear of Manchester United in sixth and two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.
  • After the 4-0 thrashing away to Luton, Brighton put things right by putting four past rivals Crystal Palace last weekend.
  • The Seagulls sit eighth, and two points clear of nearest challengers Newcastle.
  • This one looks set to be a competitive affair, with the hosts likely to narrowly edge it.

  • BOOM! Humble pie for Johnson doubters. Welcome back Sarr.

  • @MEHJones ...and of course welcome back Son!

  • Brighton to score from a corner.

  • ottenham have almost a full squad to choose from for the first time in what seems like forever. Nevertheless, some of Tottenham's most played players, and best overall performers this season (e.g. Porro, Kulusevski), are starting to look fatigued. Also, Bantancur and Maddison don't look fully fit. Therefore, Tottenham might still not be performing 100% and should appreciate home advantage. Brighton are a dangerous team but Enciso and March will be missed. Richarlison, Maddison, Sarr, and Johnson or Werner to score. Tottenham 4-2 Brighton
