Team News

Fatih Karagumruk
Umraniyespor
  • Andrea Bertolacci is set to deputise for the suspended Matteo Ricci.
  • Magomed Ozdoev had to subbed off with an injury against Fenerbahce last time out. He hasn't been training since and is a major doubt here. Adem Llajic is likely to start in his place.
  • Efe Tatli, Efecan Mizrakci and Emre Tintis, none of whom were expected to start here, are all sidelined with injury.
  • Davide Biraschi has served his suspension and will return to the starting XI.
  • Isaac Sackey and Mert Yilmaz, neither of whom were expected to start against Karagumruk, are suspended and injured respectively.
  • Tomislav Glumac has served his suspension and will regain his place in the starting XI.
  • Allyson has signed for the Brazilian club Cuiaba.

Prediction

  • Karagumruk were beaten 2-1 by Fenerbahce last time out. This was one of their most subdued performances under Pirlo, who rightly argued after the game that his team will rarely be facing a midfield as strong as the Canaries' and as such, there was no reason to worry too much about the loss. Against one of the weakest defences in the league, Karagumruk will create enough chances to get a win.
  • Umraniyespor suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Kayserispor last time out. Their recent revival thus came to an end and manager Ucar is aware his team needs to bag some wins if they are to stand a chance. This means they can no longer sit back and play for a point, and that they need to attack the game more aggressively, meaning their already fragile defence will be further exposed.
