Team News

Bochum
RBL
  • Skipper Anthony Losilla is available after suspension, but the influential Simon Zoller is still ruled out with a muscle injury. Gerrit Holtmanni is nearing a return from a knee injury, while Cristian Gamboa suffered a setback in training with his knee injury.
  • Top scorer Christopher Nkunku is ruled out again with a thigh injury, while Xaver Schlager also picked up a ligament injury. Dani Olmo returned in midweek as a sub from a muscle injury. Lukas Klostermann is fit again after illness and problems with his adductors. Abdou Diallo has a knee problem, while goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi is on his way back from an ACL injury.

Prediction

  • Leipzig will look to bounce back from their abysmal 7-0 Champions League thrashing at Manchester City in midweek, but flounder seven points behind the leaders with their Bundesliga title hopes in tatters for another year.
  • Beleaguered Bochum are back on home soil where they've picked up five out of their seven wins this season, but field the most porous defence in the whole league with 56 goals conceded.
  • Despite some key injuries and Champions League embarrassment, Leipzig should have enough left in the tank to nick the three points against struggling Bochum, who've lost all eight games in all comps to Leipzig.

  • Andre Silva is a clown.

  • W2

  • 1-1, Bocum have lost all 8 previous meetings against Leipzig. Reus said it will be a fight, expecting some cards here over 4.5 could pay off well. Both teams to score is favored, as for Leipzig I struggle to see where a 2nd or 3rd goal comes from without Nkunku. Olmo will be key if he's fully fit, some good performances on the road this season.
