Team News

Marseille
Strasbourg
  • William Saliba misses out here owing to suspension, meaning the Arsenal loanee has likely played his final match for the hosts.
  • Gerson and Duje Caleta-Car shook off injury to feature against Rennes, and Bamba Dieng is also fit, having come off the bench in that match.
  • Jorge Sampaoli took the surprising option of starting Amine Harit as a false nine against Rennes, but should bring Milik back in here.
  • With Dimitri Liénard suspended, look for Anthony Caci to start at left wing-back.
  • Save Liénard, don't look for any changes from the visitors, who will look to build on the good form they've showed of late.

Prediction

  • With both of these teams eager to secure a league position that will see them comfortably into Europe, this is easily the weekend's biggest match. Marseille are looking to seal third, or second in the event of Monaco dropping points, while Strasbourg can hold off Nice to clinch fifth and a Conference League spot.
  • While one might be tempted to give the hosts the edge, knowing how the Vélodrome can be an intimidating atmosphere, Marseille's exhaustion has been laid bare in recent weeks, and Julien Stéphan's swashbuckling side should have the edge here.
