Team News

Borussia Dortmund
Hertha Berlin
  • Gregor Kobel, Thomas Meunier, Mo Dahoud and Donyell Malen are all nearing returns.
  • Erling Haaland will want to mark his last game with a goal before joining Manchester City this summer.
  • Gio Reyna is ruled out with a tendon injury, while Mo Dahoud has a shoulder injury, and Mats Hummels is struggling with a thigh problem.
  • Steffen Tigges has broken his ankle, while Mateu Morey made a partial return to training after a serious knee injury, and former skipper Marcel Schmelzer continues his comeback from a knee injury.
  • Marvin Plattenhardt has an adductor problem, but Vladimir Darida returns from suspension and Marco Richter is also back in training. Linus Gechter has the flu, Lukas Klünter has a shoulder injury and Davie Selke has a thigh injury.
  • Goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow is ruled out with a thigh injury, with Marcel Lotka stepping in, though Nils Korber and Oliver Christensen are back in training. Norwegian goalkeeper Rune Jarstein is also back in training after a long-term knee injury as well.
  • Stevan Jovetic, a key man to any potential Hertha revival, is likely to return to the squad after a muscle injury.

Prediction

  • Only relegated Fuerth have conceded more goals than Hertha (69) who need a point to secure their Bundesliga status for another season.
  • Dortmund have failed to score only once in their last 65 Bundesliga games and will be massive favourites for this one.
  • Dortmund should win this at very skinny odds, but given their defensive woes, we should see goals at both ends.
  • Back a share of the spoils which might be enough for Hertha to stay in the league.
