- Gio Reyna is ruled out for the rest of the season with a tendon injury. Mo Dahoud will miss this one with a shoulder injury, while Mats Hummels will be out for several weeks with a thigh problem.
- Donyell Malen suffered a tendon strain in training and was not able to make the trip to Stuttgart last week. Nico Schulz and Felix Passlach could be squad options after recovering from muscle injuries.
- Steffen Tigges has broken his ankle and will miss the rest of the season. Mateu Morey remains on the sidelines with a serious knee injury, and former skipper Marcel Schmelzer continues his comeback from a knee injury.
- Jerome Roussillon, Ridle Baku, Renato Steffen and Maximilian Philipp are all fit after illness.
