Team News

Harrogate Town
Salford City
  • Jack Muldoon and Danilo Orsi will compete to operate as the second striker, playing just off key frontman Luke Armstrong, who got back among the goals last week.
  • Rory McArdle is out with a groin injury and another centre-back, Will Smith, picked up a bad injury, so Warren Burrell is covering in that position, with Nathan Sheron filling in at right-back.
  • Donald Love struggled on his unnatural side at Scunthorpe last week, so Gary Bowyer will be hoping left-back Ibou Touray is back fit for this one.
  • Aramide Oteh is vying for his first start for the Ammies, after making a reasonable contribution from the bench at Glanford Park/ The former Walsall forward's movement creates space for Brandon Thomas-Asante to get shots away.

Prediction

  • Harrogate Town are back in business after a deserved 3-1 victory at Walsall. A goal for Luke Armstrong will please Simon Weaver after a dry patch that may or may not have been influenced by challenging personal circumstances, but the Sulphurites striker can feed off the dynamic, vibrant creativity of Jack Diamond and Alex Pattison.
  • Salford City, despite having a budget to dwarf that of the North Yorkshire outfit, may be looking enviously across the Pennines as Gary Bowyer's side continue to underachieve. A 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe leaves the Ammies winless in four league games, nine points off the playoffs.
  • Salford looked clumsy and error-prone in the first half at Glanford Park and, while there are positives to take from the second half improvement that earned them a point, it still feels like they are falling well short of the required standards.
