Team News

Eibar
Barcelona
  • Eibar have got no selection concerns heading into the final weekend of the La Liga season.
  • Sergi Enrich is expected to come back into attack alongside Kike Garcia for Los Armeros.
  • Pape Diop should come back into the middle of midfield, with Bryan Gil expected to come in for Kevin on the right wing too.
  • Marc-Andre ter Stegen is out due to a tendon injury, meaning Neto will feature in goal for Barcelona.
  • Clement Lenglet is suspended for the visitors, so Samuel Umtiti and Ronald Araujo should join Gerard Pique in defence.
  • Frenkie De Jong should return in the middle of midfield after a ban, with Riqui Puig having a chance of some minutes too.
  • Lionel Messi has been given permission to miss Barcelona's last game of the season and, therefore, could have played for the club for the last time.
  • Pedri has also, bizarrely, been allowed to start his holidays early despite the fact Barcelona could drop down to fourth.

Prediction

  • Eibar's relegation from La Liga was confirmed recently, meaning that they have nothing to play for on the final weekend other than pride. Jose Luis Mendilibar's side, however, have taken four points from their last available six at home.
  • Barcelona are under pressure to perform on the final day, as Ronald Koeman has come under fire after falling out of the previously three-way title race.

  • Without 1. sending out Koeman (who didn't respect at all the Cruyff based playing style) 2. and having an absolute Barca grown manager, the team wouldn't be able to remain it's playing stile !

  • It's ok in the end. Even if Barcelona had won the previous 2 games instead of getting only 1 point, they would have finished 3rd.

  • @neumi17 yeah but we will have had a chance to win the league until the last match.

  • Guillem balague says Laporta wants to get rid of Koeman and have Xavi and have already met for talks. He has been in Qatar.

  • All credit goes to Griezmann for that genius/lucky strike but I'm still not convinced he should continue at Barca.

  • No Pique and Lenglet in defence = clean sheet. Coincidence? only if your name is Koeman.

  • Puig and Umtiti come on - immediate improvement. Coincidence? I think not. I counted 9/10 successful forward passes by Umtiti (probably more than Lenglet in his entire career). And Puig, what a spectacle that kid is, he embodies Barca's style more than any of his teammates, he simply cannot stop passing with just one touch. Koeman, time to pack your bags, thank you and goodbye.

  • Laporta be watching for who is definitely not staying at the club:D

  • Dembz is apparently a talent that just needs grooming an puig gives energy when he comes on...if thats the case im the most talented youngster ATM full of energy fast runner an got a winning personality barca sign me

  • @BEE10 Lol. Good point

  • LOL, what is this? Looks like Barca players are already in Ibiza

  • Barca need frenkie de jong so bad lol, hes too good for them

  • Messi will score a hattrick as per usual against his favourite team

  • @Chilly_B Messi's favourite 3 opponents are madrid ,athletico an Sevilla he scored 25+ goals against each ot them to date

  • Eibar - Barcelona 2:2(0:1)

  • Both to score.

  • No Eibarman?

  • @StefanCriedandilikeit But Crotoneman will be there vs mighty Bologna, zero against Milan, zero against Inter, zero against Atalanta in cup final, but his time is here.

  • @Pastore10 Zero goal against Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid this season. Since Ronaldo left, Messi refuse to score against Real Madrid for the past 3-4 years out of respect for Ronaldo, thanks Eibarman.
