Team News

Leicester
Tottenham
  • Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Jonny Evans will play no part against Tottenham on Sunday.
  • Kelechi Iheanacho will return to the starting XI to face Tottenham, with one of James Maddison or Ayoze Perez dropping out of the side.
  • Ricardo Pereira has settled for a reduced role in recent weeks but could replace Marc Albrighton at right wing-back if Timothy Castagne is required at centre-back once more for the Foxes.
  • Gareth Bale and Harry Kane could play their final game for Tottenham on Sunday, with the former due to return to parent club Real Madrid and the latter looking to leave for bigger and better things.
  • Bale was only fit enough for a place on the bench against Aston Villa on Wednesday night but will return to the starting XI to face Leicester on Sunday at the King Power Stadium.
  • Serge Aurier is another that could bid farewell to Tottenham this weekend. He was back in the matchday squad in midweek and will push to start at right-back this weekend after Japhet Tanganga was stretchered off in midweek.
  • Tanguy Ndombele has fallen completely out of favour under Ryan Mason, so Giovani Lo Celso is the more likely candidate to replace Harry Winks in midfield if changes are made.

Prediction

  • Leicester look like they have blown the top four at the death for the second season in a row. The Foxes moved down to fifth on Wednesday night, the first time they have finished a gameweek outside the top four for the first time all season. They now need to beat Tottenham and hope one of Liverpool or Chelsea drop points to be guaranteed a place in the top four.
  • Tottenham slipped to a poor 2-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa in midweek and there was already a toxic atmosphere inside the ground despite on a few thousand in attendance. Harry Kane's desire to leave has not come at a good time for the club either. With nothing going right for Tottenham at the moment, Leicester should really win this fixture and win it well.

  • Four years ago on the last day of the season Tottenham smashed Leicester 6-1 at the King Power Stadium and Harry Kane scored four to secure the golden boot. This season a repeat of that result is highly unlikely, a reverse of that scoreline is more likely. Leicester's home record is not particularly good but they are still huge favourites here. Tottenham's players look tired, disorganised, and eager for the season to the end. Leicester 4-1 Tottenham

  • Correction. Four years ago Tottenham beat Leicester 6-1 away from home in their *last but one* league match of the season. In the *last* match Tottenham beat Hull 7-1 away from home.

  • @MEHJones now THAT comment didnt aged well

  • @Nataku I'm very happy to have been wrong about the result. Although as I said above, Leicester's home record has not been great. Tottenham didn't play particularly well but they are capable of taking their chances when they get them.

  • @MEHJones Bale is back in form :)

  • @Nataku he's generally done well all season when given a chance: 11 goals and 2 assists over 923 minutes is an excellent return by any measure. In the few games he looked off the pace other players were also off their game.

  • Great comment

  • Leicester to score on both halves

  • Chelsea should sign Bale, to save next season's CL

  • What a bunch of bottlers

  • Spurs go into europa conference league.

  • Leicester 4-2

  • Leicester - Tottenham 2:2(1:1)

  • Easy 3-0
