Team News

AC Milan
Atalanta
  • Milan rested most of their typical XI in midweek, so most of them will be back here in Serie A.
  • Mattia Caldara made his debut with Milan against Dudelange, but Gennaro Gattuso might wait a bit longer before fielding him in the domestic league.
  • Josip Ilicic is back to full fitness and made an appearance in the previous game.
  • While it's going to be difficult to win his place back from Mario Pasalic, Ilicic might start instead of Alejandro Gomez, should "El Papu" not recover from his physical problem.

Prediction

  • After struggling to get a draw at Cagliari last week, Milan won the easiest game in their Europa League group at Dudelange. The score (0-1) was just enough to get the three poins but Milan created plenty of chances while playing with their reserves.
  • Atalanta seem to have lost their magic after their elimination from the Europa League. They still need to process the fact that such an early start to the season was not repaid, and find some enthusiasm again.
  • Milan could take advantage from the tough period Atalanta are going through, but the Bergamasca's project is still more advanced than the Rossoneri's, who should not underestimate their visitors.

  • Having rested a lot of their top players on thursday, expect Milan to win 2-1, 2-2 is also possible

  • 3-0

  • Milan win

  • Atalanta have certainly fallen away, and don't see San Siro as the likely venue to get back in their groove - might be a good move to play Rigoni for this one. Time for el pipita to bag a couple, in an otherwise unconvincing (as ever) 2-1 win for Milan.
